Greater Noida, U.P

Founded in 2013,inspired by the vision of Miss Helen Jerwood, an English missionary, St Thomas’ College, Greater Noida is an institution of the Diocese of Delhi, Church of North India. Recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education, Jaipur, it highlights our very own ‘LIVEWARE’ educational philosophy.

At a time when the needs of the differently abled, the intellectually challenged and those less fortunate remained largely ignored, Miss Helen Jerwood took the pioneering steps to cater to their individual needs. The empathy, sensitivity, and far-sightedness of our founder remain the cornerstone of our newest venture into higher education.

Academic rigour and the quest for excellence are of paramount importance at all times. The college seeks  to creatively foster an ambience charged with emotional and intellectual wellness, so integral to the times.

Our Founder Miss Helen Jerwood… Truly ‘an inspiring force …a pillar of strength.’

Her ideals and ethos, her zeal and mission made her go from house to house, to kindle the light of education in the girl child.

Her vision and her untiring devotion have given
St Thomas’ its glorious foundation.

Teaching Staff

"Learning is an exciting process of discovery, leading to concentration, motivation, self-discipline and a love for learning" says Dr. Maria Montessori, the brain behind Montessori philosophy. The school can boast of having a team of dedicated and enthusiastic educators. The teachers are qualified in Early Childhood and Montessori Method of Education. This includes familiarisation with the Montessori materials and insights into handling young children sensitively. In line with the Montessori philosophy that each child is unique and therefore should be allowed to develop at his/her own pace, our Montessori trained teachers are dedicated towards developing the full potential of the child. The teachers are motivated to keep themselves updated on policies, content and skill enhancement by attending in-house trainings and workshops.

The regular trainings are conducted to enhance the awareness towards early childhood needs, health, hygiene, safety, school policies and zero tolerance policy for any kind of child abuse.
